Dennis
Bradley has
been a metal
worker his entire
adult life.
A native of
Blairsville
and Union County
, Dennis is
a graduate of
Union County
High School
and North Georgia
Technical College
. He worked
in the metal
working industry
before becoming
a teacher. He
taught metal
working at Union
County High
School thirty
years before
his retirement.
In addition
to metal sculpture
and metal art,
he is a custom
knife maker.
He has been
a member of
the Knifemaker’s
Guild for over
twenty years.
He also does
scrimshaw, jewelry
and is learning
engraving. Another
interest is
riding, restoring
and collecting
motorcycles.
The
Blairsville Sculpture
Garden is a cooporative
of the Blairsville
Union Chamber of
Commerce, The Downtown
Development Authority
of Blairsville,
the City of Blairsville,
and various private
businesses. The
Sculpture Garden
is also sponsored
in part by the Grassroots
Arts Program of
the Georgia Council
for the Arts through
the appropriations
of the Georgia General
Assembly and in
partnership with
Sustainable Arts
Society, Inc. The
Grassroots Arts
Program provides
funds to support
art activities
and encourage local
collaborations
between artists
and arts organizations.
